I am proud to say I have lived in Breathitt County my entire life. I graduated from Breathitt High School in 1989 and Morehead State University in 1994.  I started teaching at Jackson Independent directly after college and have been at the school ever since.  It is a wonderful place to work and simply a wonderful environment for all students and faculty.  We are a family from Kindergarten to 12th grade.  

 

I received my Masters Degree in 1998 and my National Board Certification in 2004.  I recently completed my National Board Certification renewel and am currently beginning to pursue my dual credit Biology Certificate. 

 

This year I am also taking on a dual role and will be working for KDE half time as a Hybrid Teacher Leader On Special Assignment.  My work with this program will be to bring an awarness of all the programs offered across the state to the teachers of Eastern Kentucy and to try and get more teachers National Board Certified.  My dream is that Eastern Kentucy have the most National Board Certified teachers in the state.  

 

My husband Chip and I have three children, Corey, Rader, and Laikin Davidson and a beautiful granddaughter Ayzlin! I love to spend time with my family on trips and at the lake as well as the beach and the pool.  We love the outdoors!!  I also love watching my daughter dance!
